Boat tour to the tropical island of Itacuruca '' the green coast'' 1:30min south of Rio. Bus transportation included departing from the famous ''Colher de Pau cafe '' at R. Farme de Armoedo, 39, Ipanema - where you can enjoy a continental breakfast included from 8am. (11pm) Niteroi, across the bridge from Rio, is a bit of a sleepy town, but there's at least one good reason to get over there and that's La Colocation party. A very good DJ line up plus the more unusual location make for the success. And, what's more: beer, water, soft drinks and Gummy (vodka mix drink) are all free. It's well worth crossing the bridge for.

B.I.T.C.H & Revolution 8th Oct; - Sat
@ - Monte Libano Club - Ave. Borges de Medeiros, 701. Lagoa (the lagoon next to Ipanema). The two heavy weight club promoters joined forces to come up with yet another great night. To top it off, Revolution is extending its party to an after-hours at Sky Lounge which is just around the corner from Monte Libano Club.

@ - Nova Lounge - Rua Barao da Torre, 334. Praca (sq) Nossa Sr. da Paz - Ipanema. A new party by club promoters Dado Marieeti and João Brizola; on the picks-ups, the divine DJ Ana Paula, adding to the already good choice on the clubland.
Rebite 16th Set; - Fri @ - DLR Club - Estrada do Joá, São Conrado. The club has a good infrastructure; air-conditioning included, which is always welcome in the heat of Rio. The party is by the same promoters of Delerio's, a well-established party on the Rio scene. The line up always features great national and foreign names.

Currently the most popular and best place to go out for a good dance; it has been refurbished, new lights, sound system - though it still gets a bit too hot, literally - but then there's the terrace on the top floor on open air for you to chill out. 11pm onwards.
